Research Scientist and Research Engineer (AI Robotics)

What you will do

• Design scalable pipelines for ingesting, deduplicating, filtering, and classifying web-scale video data.
• Develop video annotation frameworks and quality filters for motion, scene diversity, action content, and temporal coherence.
• Build benchmarks and evaluation frameworks for video model prediction, long-horizon rollouts, and downstream robot task performance.
• Research data selection, mixing, and weighting strategies to improve video generation and robotic control transfer.
• Deploy vision-language and video understanding models for automated annotation, filtering, and content scoring at scale.
• Collaborate with pre-training and post-training teams, track model capabilities, and identify regressions.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of data-centric machine learning and the impact of web video quality on generative model performance.
• Experience building large-scale video data pipelines, including ingestion, filtering, deduplication, and quality scoring.
• Knowledge of temporal structure, motion quality, scene diversity, and action content in video data.
• Hands-on experience training or evaluating large generative models and designing diagnostic, reproducible evaluations.
• Senior and MTS candidates should execute complex projects with strong fundamentals; staff-level candidates should define technical direction and research strategy independently.

Nice to have

• PhD or strong research background in machine learning, computer vision, or a related field.
• Experience curating large-scale web video datasets such as WebVid, HowTo100M, or Ego4D.
• Experience with video generation metrics, VLM or CLIP-style inference, world models, or robotic action prediction.
• Publications at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, or related venues.
