Senior Blockchain Security Developer (Canton)

hirify.global provides open-source security tooling, contract libraries, research, and secure development services for blockchain and onchain finance projects.

What you will do

• Own hirify.global Contracts Library features for Daml from design through audit, including access control, timelocks, vaults, and token standards.
• Design and implement Canton reference implementations for a privacy-preserving DEX, lending protocol, cross-chain stablecoin settlement, and confidential auction launchpad.
• Implement and maintain Daml versions of Canton Improvement Proposals and coordinate specification and middleware alignment with external partners.
• Present designs in technical discussions with Digital Asset, the Canton Foundation, and other partners.
• Collaborate with security researchers on threat models, audit preparation, vulnerability fixes, and security feedback for the Canton ecosystem.
• Use AI systems for research, design, implementation, testing, and security work, while building reusable agents, skills, and workflows.

Requirements

• Production fluency in Daml, including templates, choices, controllers, observers, signatories, multi-party authorization, sub-transaction views, and propose/accept patterns.
• Deep understanding of Canton architecture, including synchronizers, transaction visibility, smart contract upgrades, and Canton token standards.
• At least 3 years of production smart contract development, including Canton or another UTXO-based or privacy-preserving architecture.
• Production DeFi experience with primitives such as AMMs, vaults, lending protocols, or cross-chain settlement.
• Security-first development mindset, adversarial code review skills, autonomy, and proactive ownership.
• Fluent English communication is required for client-facing work.

Nice to have

• Cryptography, financial engineering, institutional finance, compliance design, or RWA tokenization experience.
• Experience running an SV or contributing to Splice internals, governance, or Canton Coin tokenomics.
• Production experience with cross-chain messaging protocols such as Chainlink CCIP, LayerZero, Wormhole, or Axelar.
• Library and SDK API design experience, non-EVM ecosystem experience, or open-source contributions.
• Experience applying AI to security workflows such as auditing, vulnerability research, fuzzing, invariant analysis, or static analysis.
