Sr Subject Matter Expert Reconciliation (Fund Accounting)

hirify.global operates a Fund Services team supporting mission-critical middle- and back-office operations for global clients.

What you will do

• Manage accounting and operational processes for outsourced middle- and back-office fund services.
• Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, cash, P&L, trial balances, and fund records against brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
• Resolve reconciliation breaks, communicate with third parties and fund administrators, and facilitate trade affirmation, clearing, and settlement.
• Oversee cash and collateral management, corporate actions, position lifecycle events, accruals, expenses, and shadow accounting.
• Support client onboarding, service delivery, escalation management, client satisfaction, and compliance with operational procedures.
• Track operational KPIs, forecast capacity, and improve or automate processes to reduce risk and increase scalability.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in a middle- or back-office support role at a hedge fund, fund administrator, or prime broker.
• Experience managing a small team of 2–5 members.
• Fund accounting experience and knowledge of structured products, MBS, CDS, IRS, TRS, bank loans, CFDs, and other financial products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Willingness to work APAC and EMEA shifts, including a 24-hour delivery cycle.

Nice to have

• MBA or a relevant graduate degree from a top-tier institution, or equivalent academic or professional experience.
