TL;DR
People Systems Analyst (Workday): Supporting and optimising Workday HCM and connected people systems across configuration, data, reporting, security, integrations, and user experience with an accent on platform reliability, data quality, and scalable people processes. Focus on translating stakeholder needs into system improvements, coordinating releases and testing, resolving incidents, and building automation and self-service capabilities.
Location: Hybrid role based in Richmond, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, Australia

What you will do
- Support and optimise Workday and connected people systems for reliability, data quality, and user experience.
- Maintain configuration across Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, and Absence & Time Tracking.
- Manage tenant setup, business processes, security, reporting, integrations, and mass data activities.
- Investigate incidents, triage requests, assess impacts, and translate requirements into practical system changes or recommendations.
- Coordinate releases, testing, and deployments, and represent People Systems on People & Culture projects.
- Improve processes through simplification, automation, self-service, and adoption of new platform capabilities, including AI-enabled features.
Requirements
- At least two years of hands-on experience configuring Workday HCM across multiple functional areas.
- Knowledge of HR technology, people processes, and practical system design.
- Experience configuring business processes, security, reporting, and data loads; integration exposure is advantageous.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, manage ticket triage, and resolve system requests end to end.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, prioritisation, and continuous improvement skills.
- Proactive, curious, detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on user experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with or interest in automation, AI best practices, and AI agents.
- Exposure to Workday integrations.
