User Researcher (AI)

What you will do

• Design and execute end-to-end research programs, including contextual inquiry and ergonomic evaluations for hardware products.
• Run mixed-methods research by pairing qualitative interviews and usability testing with quantitative survey design and driver analysis.
• Benchmark hardware research methods against industry standards and identify methodology gaps.
• Manage a prioritized research roadmap across Product, Growth, and Marketing teams.
• Translate research findings into actionable, decision-ready outputs for cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA.
• Hands-on experience researching hardware products, consumer electronics, wearables, or IoT devices.
• Strong quantitative skillset including survey design, statistical analysis, and proficiency in Python, R, or SPSS.
• Proven command of qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews, diary studies, and usability testing.
• Demonstrated ability to influence product or design decisions directly through research output.
