Member of Technical Staff: Data Infrastructure & Data Operations (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and scale high-throughput pipelines for petabyte-scale multimodal data, including robot sensor and action logs and web-scale image, video, and text.
• Own the reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of the data platform used by ML teams.
• Implement platform-level controls for data quality, lineage, and compliance.
• Build tooling that helps ML teams find, understand, and trust their data.
• Work closely with ML and annotation teams to translate data needs into durable infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong background building production data or distributed systems at significant scale.
• Extensive experience developing cloud-based data infrastructure for automated pipelines.
• Experience owning a data platform's reliability and cost over time.
• Comfort working closely with ML teams and making high-leverage architectural decisions.
• Ability to lead a work stream and own platform architecture.
• Walden participates in E-Verify; employment authorization documents must be digitally verified after an offer.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal or robotics and sensor data.
• Familiarity with compliance and KPI-tracking requirements in customer-facing deployments.
• Experience with data lineage, catalog, or governance systems.
