TL;DR
Senior Engineer (AI): Building customer-support products with an accent on data and retrieval pipelines, LLM evaluation and generation flows, real-time scoring, analytics, and fast React interfaces. Focus on setting architecture and reliability standards, owning critical systems end-to-end, mentoring engineers, and translating EMEA customer problems into shippable work.
Location: Dublin, Ireland; on-site five days a week
Salary: €100K–€140K per year plus equity

What you will do
- Set technical direction for the Dublin engineering hub, including architecture, reliability, performance, and quality standards.
- Own critical product systems end-to-end, including data and retrieval pipelines processing thousands of conversations per day.
- Build and improve LLM evaluation and generation flows covering prompting, retrieval, safety guardrails, evaluations, and observability.
- Develop real-time scoring, analytics, coaching loops, and fast resilient React/Next.js interfaces for complex AI interactions.
- Work directly with EMEA customers to translate high-leverage problems into shippable features and measurable outcomes.
- Mentor engineers, grow the local team, and collaborate with product, design, and go-to-market partners across Dublin and San Francisco.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of engineering experience shipping complex, customer-facing products.
- Strong technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers, leading technical decisions, or architecting significant product areas.
- Deep expertise in modern web technologies, product architecture, or AI integrations.
- Ability to work on-site in the Dublin office five days a week.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment and handle challenging problems independently.

- Experience at a Series A–C startup.
