Forward Deployed Software Engineer - UK Government

Location: London, United Kingdom; on-site work from an office is required. Ability to travel 25–75% is required, depending on location and team.

What you will do

• Design and deploy end-to-end technical solutions for complex customer problems.
• Lead projects from high-level system design and prototyping through application development and data integration.
• Build custom web applications and work with large-scale data.

• Iterate rapidly based on continuous feedback and adapt solutions to regulatory, data, and user-environment constraints.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant post-college work experience.
• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and related technical tools.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively in changing environments.
