ML Platform and Infrastructure Lead

Location: Must be based in Palo Alto or London and work from the office at least 3 days per week; full-time office presence is preferred.

What you will do

• Own the roadmap and vision for the ML platform across data, evaluation systems, tooling, and compute infrastructure.
• Build and scale the engineering organization across multiple teams and locations.
• Partner with Research, Applied ML, product, and technology leaders to connect platform investments with research velocity.
• Prioritize competing needs across researchers, leadership, and product stakeholders.
• Stay close to technical details, shape product vision, and contribute code when needed.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience with deep expertise in data, evaluation, and compute infrastructure.
• Experience working in an ML systems organization and understanding the factors that slow ML development.
• Experience leading engineering groups of 20 or more across multiple teams and locations.
• Based in Palo Alto or London and able to work from the office at least 3 days per week.

• Willingness to remain hands-on with code and technical implementation.
