DS/ML Intern (AI)

hirify.global is building a product with a small engineering team focused on AI features and production ML systems.

What you will do

• Build evaluation infrastructure for AI features, including failure taxonomies, LLM-as-judge rubrics, golden datasets, and calibration against human judgment.
• Run model-routing experiments that balance cost, quality, and latency while identifying regressions.
• Turn noisy real-world signals into statistically grounded, trustworthy scores.
• Help replace heuristic approaches with calibrated and monitored systems.
• Work across feature pipelines, model versioning, rollouts, drift monitoring, and reliable low-latency model serving.
• Contribute beyond the modeling layer when needed, including product, backend, frontend, and data-pipeline work.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, data science, machine learning, or a related hirify.globaleld.
• Hands-on data science or machine learning experience through coursework, personal projects, research, or an internship, including an end-to-end implementation.
• Comfort with Python and working knowledge of SQL.
• Basic applied statistics knowledge, including the ability to explain metrics and their limitations.
• Curiosity about product decisions and software engineering beyond the modeling layer.
• Exposure to LLMs through prompting, APIs, or experimentation with model behavior.

Nice to have

• Exposure to evaluation or observability tooling for LLM features.
• Coursework or projects in information retrieval, entity matching, or record linkage.
• Interest in developer productivity, code analytics, or DevEx data.
