Design Engineer (React/TypeScript)

Location: On-site in the New York City or Buenos Aires office

Salary: $120,000–$250,000 annual base salary for NYC; compensation may vary by location and includes equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and ship polished, production-quality UI across the core product and marketing site.
• Translate product and design intent into precise, high-fidelity implementations with designers, product managers, and engineers.
• Craft layouts, typography, responsive behavior, motion, and micro-interactions using Tailwind CSS.
• Develop fast, reliable interfaces across the stack with React, Next, and TypeScript.
• Contribute to shared UI foundations, including components, patterns, and design tokens.
• Improve frontend craft through performance, accessibility, maintainability, code reviews, critiques, and shared standards.

Requirements

• Strong production experience with React, Next, Tailwind, and TypeScript.
• Exceptional CSS skills and the ability to build pixel-perfect, resilient user interfaces.
• Strong design and interaction judgment with the ability to defend and implement design decisions.
• Experience owning work end to end, from early exploration through shipped code.
• Experience collaborating closely with designers and engineers in fast-moving product teams.
• A portfolio demonstrating high-craft frontend or design engineering work.
