Senior Research Scientist (Embodied AI)

Location: On-site at the Zurich office, Zurich area, Switzerland. Flexible working hours and the option to work from home when needed. A relocation package is available for the Zurich area.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and scale Vision-Language-Action models and foundation architectures for robotic manipulation and navigation.
• Develop multimodal data collection strategies, synthetic data generation methods, and efficient fine-tuning approaches for large-scale models.
• Optimize model inference for real-time robotic applications while preserving reasoning capabilities.
• Publish research at leading conferences including NeurIPS, CVPR, ICRA, and CoRL.
• Integrate AI models into physical robotic platforms in collaboration with the Core Robotics and Hardware teams.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field, with a focus on deep learning and computer vision.
• Significant research publications and citations at major conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, IROS, or CoRL.
• Experience working in leading AI research environments.
• Deep expertise in PyTorch or JAX, with experience in Transformers, diffusion models, and large language models.
• Strong understanding of Vision-Language models and their application to action and control loops in robotics.
