Senior QA Engineer (Programmatic)

What you will do

• Own the quality strategy and automated coverage for the Programmatic XP squad's REST APIs, decisioning services, and high-throughput serving paths.
• Build consumer-driven contract tests, validate authentication, authorization, negative cases, idempotency, compatibility, performance, and latency.
• Use SQL to trace events through data pipelines, reconcile reports with source data, and validate persistence across operational stores.
• Test Kafka event contracts, schema evolution, ordering, duplication, replay, and consumer failure modes.
• Automate stateful frontend journeys across legacy server-rendered screens and modern TypeScript components.
• Investigate logs and Grafana metrics, define release-quality signals, integrate quality gates into CI/CD, and contribute to incident analysis and engineering collaboration.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on QA or SDET experience with recent ownership of automated coverage for a production product.
• Strong API testing experience, including authentication, negative cases, versioning, write validation, and decisioning logic.
• Hands-on consumer-driven contract testing with Pact or an equivalent framework across service boundaries in CI.
• Strong SQL for validating warehouses, operational databases, reports, reconciliation, aggregation, and attribution; BigQuery is preferred.
• Experience testing Kafka or an equivalent event broker, plus UI automation with Playwright or a comparable modern framework.
• Experience with Grafana or equivalent monitoring, Docker, CI/CD, cloud ecosystems, and code in Java, Go, or TypeScript; practical AI engineering workflow experience is required.

Nice to have

• Ad tech, programmatic, affiliate, marketplace, or other related domain experience.
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency services, caching, performance and load testing, or test framework migrations.
• Familiarity with OWASP, security testing tools, SRE principles, or AI/LLM product testing.
