Robotics Teleoperation Intern (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid. Options include Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany with occasional travel within the EU, or Czechia or the Netherlands with frequent travel within the country.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of datasets and structured data workflows.
• Comfortable using terminal basics on macOS/Linux, including navigating directories, running commands, setting environment variables, and reading outputs.
• Can run and modify existing Python scripts and execute Bash/Python commands.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable wearing a VR headset for extended periods; the headsets cannot accommodate eyeglasses, so alternative corrective options are required.

Nice to have

• Driving license valid in the EU.
• Experience or strong interest in robotics, machine learning, or computer vision.

What you will do

• Control robots through a VR headset to collect high-quality data.
• Label images and point clouds accurately and efficiently.
• Run existing tooling for data collection, uploads, and validation checks.
• Reproduce issues, collect logs, and write clear problem reports with steps, expected versus actual results, timestamps, and evidence.
• Travel to different sites within the EU as required and collaborate with the software R&D team.
