Cloud Infra Engineer

Location: Singapore, Singapore; on-site only. Only Singapore Citizens will be considered.

hirify.global is an agency under Singapore's Ministry of Defence focused on cloud infrastructure and services.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimise highly available, reliable, and scalable on-premises cloud infrastructure platforms and services.
• Implement cloud networking, storage, virtual machines, infrastructure security, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop and maintain repeatable, automated, version-controlled infrastructure with Terraform or Ansible.
• Build telemetry, define and track SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets, and improve system reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents, identify root causes, implement resolutions, and perform capacity planning.
• Collaborate with developers and infrastructure stakeholders to understand technical needs.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or another STEM field.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations, including networks, systems, and storage.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and scripting tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Linux shell scripts, and PowerShell.
• Understanding of public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with enterprise system operations and administration.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience, including scripting and programming.

Nice to have

• Cloud certifications such as AWS or GCP certifications.
• Familiarity with metrics and logging systems such as Elastic Stack and Prometheus/Grafana.
