TL;DR
DC Industrial Systems Engineer (Oracle WMS/WCS): Administering and supporting warehouse management and control systems for distribution center operations with an accent on user access, integrations, troubleshooting, and operational process alignment. Focus on analyzing system issues, developing WMS dashboards, validating changes, and rolling out Oracle upgrades.
Location: Durban, South Africa; onsite support in the distribution center required

What you will do
- Administer Oracle WMS, including user maintenance, access, profiles, locations, passwords, and first-level support for distribution center operations.
- Log, troubleshoot, analyze, and report WMS, WCS, ERP integration, network, and operational systems issues.
- Act as the interface between distribution center operations, IT, Oracle, service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Support system audits, stock synchronization, patches, configuration changes, testing, validation, new functionality rollouts, and bi-annual Oracle upgrades.
- Develop WMS reports and dashboards for operations management and support change management and system best practices.
- Maintain technical training schedules and provide technical support aligned with operational SOPs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in distribution center operations.
- Experience with WMS platforms such as Logfire/Oracle, Manhattan, RedPrairie, SAP, HighJump, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of WCS applications, troubleshooting, system processes, and operational workflows.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
- Solutions-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable with change.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, teamwork, and previous mini-project management experience.
Nice to have
- Degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, B.Comm Logistics, or a similar field.
