General Ledger Specialist, Italy

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid workplace

Gross annual salary: €40,000–€50,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Manage accurate and timely general ledger accounting in compliance with OIC and IFRS standards.
• Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions.
• Support monthly and annual closing processes.
• Contribute to statutory and consolidated financial statements and tax-related requirements.
• Collaborate with auditors, consultants, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze financial data and support ERP, accounting procedure, and payroll-posting improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and tax, preferably in a structured environment or Big Four consulting firm.
• In-depth knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC), IFRS, and Italian tax regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, with SAP preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
• Accuracy, analytical skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent Italian and good knowledge of English required.
