What you will do

• Own complex, ambiguous problems that span multiple teams and domains.
• Define technical direction and drive system design across domains.
• Improve architecture, patterns, tooling, and engineering practices.
• Identify systemic issues and opportunities early while balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and team growth.
• Adopt emerging AI technologies and foster experimentation.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and operating scalable backend systems.
• Proven ability to solve ambiguous, high-impact problems.
• Experience influencing technical decisions beyond a single team.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and long-term system evolution.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving team practices.
• Backend technologies include Node.js and Go; infrastructure includes GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Postgres.
