Android Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Berlin, Germany. International relocation support is provided if required; working from abroad is available as an opportunity.

What you will do

• Design and implement Android user interfaces and application features.
• Help develop products that simplify investing and other complex financial topics.
• Take ownership of app components and gradually contribute across the full development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Experiment with Android technologies and best practices while writing clean, testable, well-documented code.
• Maintain a strong focus on product quality, security, and continuous technical improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science, engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable qualification.
• Hands-on Android development experience, including initial professional experience through internships or working-student roles, plus academic or personal projects.
• Basic familiarity with Kotlin, Coroutines, RxJava, Compose, Dagger, or GraphQL APIs, with motivation to deepen this knowledge.
• Strong analytical thinking, adaptability, curiosity, and interest in user experience and custom UI components.
• Fluent English in writing and reading is required. German is a plus.
• Good communication skills and openness to asking questions, giving feedback, and learning from others.

• Interest in investing or digital finance.
• Prior fintech experience or familiarity with hirify.global's products.
