What you will do

  • Develop an automated system to track when new design items first appear in Electron production.
  • Maintain data quality for first-flight items and support analysis of differences between launch vehicle builds.
  • Use ERP planning and production BOM records to update JIRA change tickets with implementation details.
  • Support configuration management across Electron launch vehicle variants.
  • Plan and deliver engineering change projects while maintaining BOM and configuration master data.
  • Create technical documentation, presentations, metrics, and communications related to configuration management.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Clear technical documentation and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to apply engineering concepts, manage tasks independently, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Passion for the aerospace industry and willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be eligible to access equipment and data regulated by the United States International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
  • For work in New Zealand, nationality checks apply; eligibility may depend on citizenship of New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, the European Union, or a NATO member country, subject to dual-nationality restrictions.

Nice to have

  • Git-based software development and version control experience.
  • Python automation, server API requests, data visualization, or data pipeline experience.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Teamcenter, LN, NX, databases, SQL, or configuration management principles.
  • Knowledge of aerospace product development processes.
