Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: Cairo office, hybrid

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team responsible for the trading platform.
• Own the reliability, throughput, latency, and correctness of systems executing real-time trades.
• Set the team roadmap and technical priorities in partnership with product and engineering.
• Maintain and evolve in-house OMS and back-office systems across Egypt and the UAE while preparing connectivity for Saudi Arabia.
• Partner with exchanges, asset managers, regulators, staff engineers, and senior leadership.
• Balance hands-on architectural depth with people leadership and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering teams, developing engineers, and delivering reliable production software at scale.
• Strong technical foundation in distributed systems and comfort working closely with code and architecture.
• Familiarity with C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Python, or the ability to learn the stack quickly.
• High standards for correctness, reliability, and operational discipline in high-stakes systems.
• Clear communication skills when working with engineers, regulators, and senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, brokerage, trading, or another regulated and high-stakes domain.
• Experience operating hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises systems in Egypt and AWS infrastructure in the UAE.
