SRE / Platform Infrastructure Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: Remote in Peru

Salary: 800 USD monthly gross

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure systems using Kubernetes and AWS.
• Monitor system performance and help troubleshoot production and staging issues.
• Improve observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and similar tools.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve developer workflows with scripts and tooling.
• Participate in on-call shadowing and incident reviews.
• Document systems, maintain operational runbooks, and explore AI tools for engineering productivity.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms, Linux systems, and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Golang, Python, or a similar programming language.
• Interest in distributed systems, reliability, infrastructure engineering, and automation.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.

Nice to have

• Basic database knowledge, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, Git, and CI/CD.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and developer tooling.
