TL;DR
Fincrime Analyst (Fintech): Monitoring, investigating, and containing real-time fraudulent and illicit activity across a high-volume payment ecosystem with an accent on transaction alert resolution, detection-rule improvement, and regulatory documentation. Focus on identifying emerging financial crime typologies, designing production-ready monitoring scenarios, optimizing workflows, and coaching junior analysts.
Location: Relocation to the Luxembourg office is required; hybrid schedule with three days per week in-office and the option to request additional remote time.

What you will do
- Review, analyze, and resolve high-volume transaction monitoring alerts involving potentially fraudulent or illicit customer behavior.
- Investigate complex escalated alerts and determine whether further investigation or regulatory filing is required.
- Provide Product and Data teams with feedback to improve transaction monitoring rules and reduce false positives.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose operational improvements to increase alert-handling efficiency.
- Coach and onboard junior analysts on transaction analysis, pattern recognition, and case documentation.
- Research emerging financial crime typologies and translate them into production-ready detection rules.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in transaction monitoring, real-time fraud operations, or KYT surveillance in fintech, digital banking, or high-volume payments.
- Strong knowledge of transaction monitoring, payment flows, velocity patterns, FATF, EU Directives, and PSD3/SCA.
- High proficiency with data analytics tools such as Looker, Splunk, HEX, or Redshift, plus basic SQL.
- Experience identifying gaps in automated detection models and creating logic-driven monitoring scenarios.
- Ability to coach peers, create operational training modules, and communicate complex transaction data clearly.
- Ability to relocate to Luxembourg and work in the office three days per week is required.
