Lead Fullstack Engineer - Users & Auth (Fintech)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico. Hybrid work model with time split between the office, customer interactions or visits, and home; office presence is expected organically and may be required most days during ramp-up or when requested by the leader.

What you will do

• Own authentication and authorization architecture, implementation, and Auth0 integration across frontend and backend systems.
• Design and manage user identity, access control, and the full user lifecycle.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team through sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Raise engineering quality through pairing, mentorship, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Review product specifications, identify technical feasibility gaps, and apply AI tooling where it can accelerate delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing authentication and authorization with Auth0 or comparable identity platforms.
• Strong Java and Spring backend experience, plus solid frontend experience; React is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of web application security and secure software design for distributed architectures.
• Technical product mindset with high autonomy, proactivity, ownership, and the ability to balance delivery speed with security constraints.
• English proficiency required for leading technical discussions across geographies.
