VP, Head of Program Management & Strategic Initiatives (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise Technology Program Management Office and shape its operating model, methodologies, standards, and tooling.
• Translate enterprise strategy into a portfolio of programs, investments, and measurable outcomes in partnership with the CTO, CIO, and Technology Leadership Team.
• Lead or sponsor complex modernization, cloud migration, AI/ML enablement, platform consolidation, M&A integration, and transformation initiatives.
• Govern scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, OKRs, KPIs, investment portfolios, vendor spend, and ROI.
• Remove organizational, technical, and resourcing blockers while driving accountability and change adoption across partner functions.
• Build and develop a globally distributed organization of program directors, program managers, PMO analysts, and transformation professionals.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in program management, technology delivery, management consulting, or transformation leadership, including 5+ years leading large program management organizations.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale transformation programs exceeding $50M across multiple years and regions in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Deep experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or a similarly regulated technology environment.
• Executive-level experience advising C-suite leaders, presenting to boards, and influencing across functional boundaries.
• Strong command of Agile, SAFe, Lean, hybrid, and portfolio management practices, with experience using tools such as Jira Align, Clarity, Planview, or ServiceNow SPM.
• Experience with M&A technology integration, divestitures, or carve-outs; ability to build and scale teams of 50+ across geographies; bachelor's degree in a related field.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced relevant degree.
• PMP, PgMP, SAFe Program Consultant, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, platform modernization, data/AI programs, or core banking and payments migrations.
• Background in a global publicly traded technology or financial services company, or in management consulting combined with operating experience.
