Senior Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Berlin, Germany

Salary: €100,000–€150,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own complex frontend features end-to-end, from scoping and architecture through polished delivery.
• Build pixel-perfect, visually refined interfaces using modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend to create elegant, performant user experiences.
• Maintain code quality, accessibility, and performance through reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Evolve the frontend architecture, component library, and design system for scalable iteration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and modern frontend tooling.
• Experience building or maintaining shared component libraries or design systems.
• Strong CSS knowledge and professional experience with Tailwind CSS and semantic HTML.
• A portfolio or GitHub demonstrating frontend development expertise, with strong visual attention to detail.
• Strong communication, autonomy, ownership, empathy, and collaborative working style.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI products, complex data-heavy UIs, or real-time applications.
• Familiarity with Firebase/Firestore and efficient frontend–backend interfaces.
• Strong architectural ability to design clean, scalable frontend systems.
• Academic background in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated markers of excellence, such as a high FIDE rating.
