Global Director of Information Security

Location: hirify.global GmbH Berlin Office, hybrid. German nationality is required due to customer and compliance requirements.

What you will do

• Lead and evolve the global Information Security Management System across commercial and sovereign operations.
• Design and enforce IT security, access control, risk management, and compliance policies.
• Implement restricted-access silos within the cloud-native environment and audit sovereign-hosted configurations.
• Lead BSI certification activities and renew SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.
• Coordinate audit readiness and interactions with certification bodies and government organizations.
• Lead security training, personnel reliability processes, forensic investigations, and mandatory incident reporting.

Requirements

• German nationality required due to customer and compliance requirements.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, IT governance, or risk and compliance.
• Proven success with BSI certification or audit projects.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST 800-53 frameworks.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native security, especially AWS.
• Fluency in German and English required.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries such as space, energy, mobility, or telecom.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, secure CI/CD, or software supply chain practices.
• Familiarity with Teleport, Auth0, AQAP, or STANAG.
• Experience with security training and awareness programs.
