TL;DR
Product Documentation Specialist (Technical Documentation/UX Writing): Creating and maintaining client-facing technical documentation, UX content, guides, tutorials, and onboarding materials for a cloud communication platform with an accent on APIs, integrations, usability, and documentation consistency. Focus on collaborating with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers, improving docs-as-code workflows, and keeping content accurate through frequent product releases.
Location: Zagreb, Croatia; flexible hybrid work model.

What you will do
- Create, update, and maintain technical product documentation and UX-focused content for the platform.
- Write technical guides, tutorials, onboarding content, UI copy, and how-to documentation.
- Document APIs, integrations, messaging products, and platform features.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Designers, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Improve documentation structures, templates, writing standards, and supporting visual content.
- Manage release-related updates and documentation requests using Jira and docs-as-code workflows.
Requirements
- Experience in technical writing, product documentation, UX writing, or technical content creation in a software development environment.
- Ability to understand APIs, technical concepts, and product functionality and explain them clearly to different audiences.
- Strong written and verbal English skills, with excellent grammar, clarity, and structure.
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, Product Managers, Developers, and Designers.
- Strong research, organization, attention-to-detail, and independent work skills.
- Familiarity with UX writing principles, Git, Markdown, docs-as-code workflows, or similar documentation tooling.
Nice to have
- Experience documenting APIs, integrations, or developer-focused products.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Writing Style Guide.
- Interest in AI technologies and practical experience using AI tools.
- Exposure to SEO, analytics, or content performance measurement.
- Experience in larger or matrix organizations, or a degree in IT, English, communications, or a related field.
