Senior Associate - Test Automation & Tools Development Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable testing frameworks, reusable libraries, plugins, CLI tools, and test harnesses.
• Build automation infrastructure for functional, performance, and security testing across distributed systems, microservices, native mobile applications, and cloud SaaS platforms.
• Write maintainable Java and JavaScript/TypeScript code for automated test workflows.
• Integrate testing tools with Git, Jenkins, Harness, artifact repositories, reporting systems, and test management platforms.
• Containerize testing tools with Docker and orchestrate test environments using Kubernetes.
• Partner with QE, SRE/DevOps, and development teams to solve testing challenges and deliver tooling solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and test tools development.
• Strong Java programming skills focused on tooling and automation.
• Experience extending and customizing Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Postman/Bruno, REST Assured, or Karate.
• Experience integrating test tools with Jira, Qmetry, ReportPortal, Allure, ExtentReports, Grafana, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, BrowserStack, and LambdaTest.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka, REST APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, and event-driven or asynchronous architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies and continuous delivery.
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
