Project Manager (Compliance Operations)

Location: Currently remote, with a planned flexible hybrid model centered on hubs in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end compliance projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through launch and post-implementation monitoring.
• Coordinate Engineering, Legal, Product, and external vendors to align technical deployments with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain project trackers and the compliance roadmap, including owners, timelines, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements, including automation and human-in-the-loop compliance workflows.
• Run roadmap review meetings and provide concise progress, risk, and decision updates to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Team Leads on testing, temporary workflow changes, and recurring operational blockers without directly managing them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Law; Engineering is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in Compliance, Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or a related regulatory environment, including 2+ years at a leadership level.
• Experience developing Team Leads and building people, not only managing tasks.
• Strong understanding of AML/KYC and document verification in a high-volume environment.
• Excel or Google Sheets is required; SQL is highly preferred. Experience with Persona and support platforms is required.
• Upper-intermediate to advanced English is required, both written and verbal.
