Tax Manager (Automotive)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States

Annual salary: $100,000–$120,000 DOE, plus benefits and incentive plans.

What you will do

• Prepare U.S. quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures.
• Manage corporate income tax compliance, including consolidated federal tax returns, estimates, and extensions.
• Develop tax forecasts with multiple scenarios to support planning and decision-making.
• Review fixed asset subledgers, tax depreciation, and book-to-tax differences.
• Research tax issues and legislative developments, assess their impact, and support tax audits.
• Implement internal controls and record-retention policies, including leadership of the SOX compliance implementation project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 7 years of relevant tax experience, including at least 3 years in corporate tax.
• Proficiency in preparing tax workpapers.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and ownership of responsibilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC, IFRS, ASC 740-10, FIN48, and SOX compliance.

• Master’s degree in taxation.
