Staff Software Engineer - Customer Integration (C/C++)

What you will do

• Contribute to a mission-driven squad across the full engineering lifecycle, from implementation through verification.
• Design and develop high-quality C/C++ embedded software based on customer requirements.
• Create Python test cases and automation frameworks to verify individual features and squad deliverables.
• Maintain technical documentation covering APIs, dependencies, and integration guides.
• Participate in code reviews focused on testability, safety, and production readiness.
• Support partner test events on site and troubleshoot integration issues in vehicles and test-bench environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development or engineering.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills, including pointers, memory management, and data structures.
• Experience developing and debugging in a Linux environment.
• Experience using Python for test scripting or engineering automation.
• Willingness to balance development and QA responsibilities, potentially in a 50:50 split.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Pangyo, South Korea.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 26262, Automotive SPICE, ASIL, automotive design reviews, or audit processes.
• Knowledge of MISRA C/C++ and static analysis tools such as Coverity or Polyspace.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum squads, Jira, Confluence, Git workflows, PyTest, or GoogleTest.
• Knowledge of automotive Ethernet, CAN, and SOME/IP protocols.
• Interest in adopting AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
