TL;DR
Senior Consultant (Appian): Leading post-sales enterprise software implementations on the Appian platform with an accent on business process analysis, relational data modeling, API integrations, and agile delivery. Focus on designing production data models, developing integrations across multiple systems, mentoring consultants, and enabling clients to build process applications independently.

Location: Tokyo, Japan; willingness to travel up to 20% for customer engagement is required.

What you will do

  • Lead post-sales software implementation projects across the full lifecycle, from definition and design through development and production deployment.
  • Develop enterprise-grade process applications on the hirify.global platform to support digital transformation.
  • Understand client business processes and technical needs, then define functional and technical requirements.
  • Launch relational data models in production and develop APIs integrating multiple systems.
  • Partner with hirify.global Architects, Technical Delivery Managers, client technical teams, and business users.
  • Lead and mentor consultants while driving client adoption and self-sufficiency with process application development.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Bilingual Japanese and English communication skills are required.
  • Experience mentoring or developing others and leading teams through post-sale software implementations.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, object-oriented programming, relational databases, database design, data modeling, SQL, software testing, and continuous integration.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST, SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AWS, AI, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, developer tools, management and governance, and elastic containers.
