Intern - Automation Development Engineer (Studying Master's Degree) (AI)

Location: BangPa-in, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand; onsite at BangPa-In Building 2. Structured internship duration: 3–6 months.

What you will do

• Design and execute an analytics or machine learning project with defined scope and measurable deliverables.
• Build or enhance data pipelines, machine learning models, dashboards, and automation initiatives for engineering teams.
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to manufacturing process data.
• Collaborate with process engineers to ensure analytics outputs are operationally relevant.
• Document methodologies and present project results to engineering leadership.
• Participate in structured internship assessments and development conversations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering with an advanced analytics or AI specialization, or an equivalent field.
• Completed a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or R, with working knowledge of SQL.
• Active thesis or project involving machine learning, data science, or applied analytics.
• Available for a 3–6 month structured internship.
• Strong written and verbal English communication, analytical communication, and independent project management skills.

Nice to have

• Research or thesis experience in machine learning, predictive modeling, or process analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, or with big data tools.
• Experience with time-series data, anomaly detection, sensor analytics, manufacturing data, or industrial environments.
• Publications, competition recognition, or open-source contributions in data or AI.
