SRE Engineer (AWS/Terraform)

Location: Hybrid in Cairo, Egypt

Technology department focused on cloud infrastructure, data systems, and software engineering operations.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for high availability and efficiency.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments and infrastructure changes.
• Develop and manage the data stack, including infrastructure resources and data lake setup.
• Respond to critical alerts and incidents, coordinate mitigation efforts, and perform root cause analysis.
• Document system configurations and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SRE or a relevant field.
• Strong software engineering background with advanced proficiency in JavaScript or Python; Bash and Go scripting experience.
• Expertise in AWS services, architecture, security principles, and cost optimization.
• Strong Linux system administration skills, including setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Git workflows, microservices, serverless technologies, and SQL and NoSQL databases.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience managing infrastructure in Azure environments.
