Network Specialist - Security (Cybersecurity)

Location: Montreal, New York, or Singapore; occasional travel required

Salary: Minimum base salary of $120,000 per year if located in New York; discretionary bonuses and benefits may also apply

What you will do

• Design and deploy network security solutions aligned with corporate security standards.
• Lead and deliver network security projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Implement, support, and maintain security infrastructure across offices, data centers, and co-location sites.
• Provide advanced L3 troubleshooting for network performance and security issues.
• Automate operational processes and improve the organization’s security posture.
• Apply patches and updates, maintain technical documentation, and develop standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in network engineering and project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of network security, next-generation firewalls, network access control, micro-segmentation, and security architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto solutions and Cisco ISE deployment and configuration.
• Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including OSPF, BGP, NAT, IPSEC, GRE, PIM, QoS, HSRP/VRRP, and VPC/MLAG.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation, preferably with Python, plus strong network diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• CCNP certification or higher; CCIE is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, and Illumio micro-segmentation tools.
• Experience with open-source network scanning tools or certifications such as PCNSA and CISSP.
