What you will do
- Lead, coordinate, and develop a team of Fleet Ops Specialists across South America.
- Build and own the regional maintenance system for cattle collars, towers, and related hardware infrastructure.
- Plan workloads, schedules, recruitment, and field coverage across the region.
- Provide hands-on support for maintenance, repairs, hardware diagnosis, drone mapping, installations, go-live activities, and collaring on farms.
- Support the global hardware on-call roster and act as the first escalation point for field incidents.
- Analyse hardware and team-performance data, then share field insights with product and engineering teams in Auckland.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience with field or operations teams, including performance management and people development.
- Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, equipment fitting, or similar practical work.
- Professional experience with South American cattle production is required.
- Strong communication, organisation, ownership, and problem-solving skills in an ambiguous early-stage environment.
- Willingness to travel regularly and sometimes spontaneously across South America.
- Fluent Spanish and professional English are required; recruitment interviews and significant day-to-day work will be conducted in English.
