Purchasing Intern

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Multinational manufacturing company with purchasing operations focused on sourcing goods and services, supplier compliance, cost efficiency, and continuity of supply.

What you will do

• Support sourcing and procurement processes for indirect materials, services, and operational requirements.
• Request quotations, analyze commercial proposals, and assist with supplier negotiations.
• Create and follow up purchase orders in SAP.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, spend analyses, presentations, procurement documentation, and support supplier qualification activities.

Requirements

• Current student in International Trade, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Interest in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations.
• Intermediate English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have

• SAP knowledge.
• Experience or interest in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
