Control Desk & Credit Analyst (Fintech)

Location: São Paulo, Brazil — hybrid work model. Regular office presence is expected, especially during ramp-up or when required by the leader.

What you will do

• Monitor and review automated customer onboarding processes for accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
• Perform KYC, KYB, and CDD reviews in collaboration with Sales, Compliance, and customer-facing teams.
• Identify, flag, and escalate inconsistencies and risks in real time while meeting internal SLAs.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant policies and procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Identify process bottlenecks and risks and support automation and workflow enhancements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, KYC, CDD, or related risk and compliance functions.
• Strong analytical skills for credit evaluation and risk exposure assessment.
• Ability to interpret balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for credit decisions.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets and financial indicators.
• Intermediate English and working proficiency in Portuguese are required.
• Familiarity with AI tools for workflow automation and analysis efficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-growth startup or technology-driven financial institution.
• Basic Spanish proficiency or motivation to learn it.
• Exposure to quantitative solvency-prediction models such as Z-Score or logistic regression.
• Independent analytical work with spreadsheets or BI tools.
