Software Engineer - Backend

What you will do

• Implement and deliver backend features and components for a cloud-native data protection platform.
• Build customer-facing features and workflows for backup, recovery, onboarding, metering, billing, reporting, alerting, and ML-driven insights.
• Write reliable, maintainable, production-ready code and comprehensive tests.
• Operate, debug, and improve services after deployment, including systems that handle retries and reprocessing under failure conditions.
• Make implementation decisions within established designs while balancing correctness, simplicity, and performance.
• Work with Senior and Principal Engineers through mentorship and code review while gradually taking ownership of larger components.

Requirements

• Software engineering experience from professional roles, internships, or academic and personal projects.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Go, Java, Python, C++, or Rust.
• Ability to develop correct and maintainable solutions and clarify unclear requirements.
• Willingness to learn how production systems are built, operated, and debugged.
• Working knowledge of English and valid authorization to work in South Korea are required.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing features to a larger backend or cloud-native platform.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud-native design patterns.
• Experience with data-intensive systems, object storage, or large-scale backend services.
• Exposure to backup, disaster recovery, or data protection systems.
