Staff Technical Data Architect (GCP)

What you will do

• Own the technical architecture of data systems and pipelines ingesting and transforming large-scale hospitality data.
• Gather requirements, map current architecture, and design future architecture across multiple engineering teams and domains.
• Build, test, maintain, support, and evolve cloud data architecture, operational tooling, monitoring, and data quality practices.
• Define data engineering and architecture standards and act as a technical authority for data engineers.
• Collaborate with engineering and product architects and leaders to improve organizational architecture maturity.
• Embed AI strategy into integration architecture and design and pilot AI initiatives across pipelines, tooling, and engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, complex transformations, and data modelling at scale.
• Proven data architecture experience at cloud-systems level across multiple teams, domains, or projects.
• Experience with data integrations, reusable connector and ingestion frameworks, schema-drift detection, backfill and replay, and idempotency.
• Strong knowledge of data cloud technologies and services such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Composer/Airflow, BigQuery, Spanner, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Professional Python proficiency for large-scale data processing and pipeline development, plus hands-on experience with AI tools and agentic workflows.
• Fluent English required, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building integrations with third-party APIs and external data sources.
• Experience in hospitality technology or a similar industry such as aviation.
