Enterprise Software Engineer (AppOps Security Engineer) (Cybersecurity)

hirify.global operates enterprise applications supported by a Health AppOps team.

What you will do

• Analyze application security risks, review security scan reports, and manage vulnerabilities through remediation and closure.
• Support compliance assessments and audits aligned with SOC 2, PCI DSS, the NIST Framework, and internal or external requirements.
• Participate in Operational Readiness Review checkpoints and validate security, monitoring, backup, support, and operational controls.
• Develop automation for vulnerability tracking, compliance reporting, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Maintain dashboards, reports, audit evidence, documentation, and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure and security teams, audit partners, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in Application Operations, IT Operations, Security Operations, Compliance, or a related domain.
• Understanding of application security, vulnerability management, compliance frameworks, audit processes, controls testing, and evidence collection.
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM/GRC platforms.
• Knowledge of operational risk management and governance processes.
• Security certifications such as Security+, SSCP, or equivalent.
• Exposure to DevSecOps and secure application lifecycle practices.
