Cambridge Year 7-9 Apprentice Computing Teacher (Athi River International)

What you will do

• Teach Computing, Digital Literacy, and Mathematics to Cambridge Year 7–9 students, leading approximately 20–30% of core content lessons.
• Collaborate with the resident teacher to plan and deliver engaging enquiry-based lessons and maintain a focused classroom environment.
• Assess student progress, adapt instructional content and delivery, and provide clear feedback against ambitious learning goals.
• Manage student behavior, implement required accommodations and modifications, and supervise students during non-teaching periods.
• Coordinate and lead an after-school co-curricular activity for students of different ages.
• Prepare lesson materials, communicate with parents, document and display student work, and perform assigned supervision duties.

Requirements

• TSC certificate.
• Relevant degree in Education.
• At least 1–2 years of teaching experience; the role requires candidates who can start immediately after accepting an offer.
• Working knowledge of G-Suite applications, including Sheets, Docs, and Slides, plus video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Meet, or Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to work effectively with uncertainty and complexity.
• Ability to work at the Athi River campus and participate in some morning, evening, and weekend events.
