Group Head of Assets (Investment Structuring)

Location: Melbourne, Australia; full-time onsite at the Melbourne office

What you will do

• Design and implement domestic and cross-border investment structures based on commercial, tax, legal and regulatory considerations.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for companies, trusts, SPVs and other investment vehicles.
• Guide boards and management teams through corporate actions, shareholder and director matters, acquisitions, restructures, capital contributions, distributions and disposals.
• Oversee trustee services, investment vehicle administration and coordination with fund administrators, custodians, banks, auditors and other providers.
• Perform Responsible Manager duties under the AFSL and oversee applicable financial services and products.
• Partner with Legal, Tax, compliance advisers and other stakeholders on licensing, due diligence, risk management and regulatory matters.

Requirements

• Significant experience in investment structuring, family office, asset management, trustee services or funds management.
• Strong knowledge of cross-border investment structures and related tax, legal and regulatory considerations.
• Experience managing sophisticated group structures across companies, trusts, SPVs and other vehicles.
• Strong background in corporate governance, family office operations and asset protection, with confidence working with boards, shareholders and senior executives.
• Practical experience in fund administration, trustee services and the Australian financial services regulatory environment.
• High judgement, confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive investment and ownership matters.

Nice to have

• Experience as an AFSL Responsible Manager, or qualifications and experience meeting Responsible Manager competency requirements.
• Exposure to financial products including deposits, FX contracts, government debentures, shares, bonds, securities, Managed Investment Schemes and IDPS arrangements.
