Trainee Mechanical Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Location: Onsite in Bahrain; Bahraini nationals only

What you will do

• Support Senior and Lead Mechanical Engineers in executing oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial engineering projects.
• Prepare and review mechanical calculations, drawings, specifications, datasheets, and technical documentation.
• Gain practical exposure to pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and packaged equipment.
• Review vendor documents, prepare material requisitions, and support technical bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
• Support design reviews, technical meetings, site visits, equipment inspections, walkdowns, and construction activities.

Requirements

• Bahraini nationality required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design software.
• Academic or internship exposure to oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO standards.
• Exposure to piping systems or rotating and static equipment.
