TL;DR
Technical Account Manager (Data Protection and Virtualization): Planning, architecting, coordinating, and managing professional services engagements for availability solutions, including data protection and monitoring, with an accent on Veeam solution design, consulting, and project management. Focus on analyzing enterprise environments, optimizing backup and virtualization configurations, coordinating implementation activities, and managing multiple customer projects.
Location: Based in the Rome or Milan region, Italy; remote work is possible only when located in Italy, combined with face-to-face customer visits and occasional overnight business stays.

What you will do
- Contribute to proposals and Statements of Work for professional services engagements.
- Plan, architect, coordinate, and manage availability solutions involving data protection and monitoring.
- Support solution assessments, design, implementation, effort estimation, and post-installation issue resolution.
- Create project plans, schedules, communication and resource plans, status updates, technical documentation, white papers, and solution guides.
- Analyze installed environments and recommend optimal configurations.
- Deliver onsite knowledge transfer, coordinate communication between clients and Support, and identify additional solution needs.
Requirements
- VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent experience.
- Prince2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with core products, virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, storage, backup architectures, networking, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- Proven consulting and project management experience, including managing multiple simultaneous projects and accounts.
- Business proficiency in Italian and English.
