Director, Account Solutions Architecture (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

Salary: $227,000–$303,000 gross annual base salary, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the Solutions Architecture strategy, operating model, headcount plan, capacity forecasting, and leveling across the region.
• Build and develop the management layer by hiring and coaching managers and team leads.
• Define scalable deployment practices, including reference architectures, automation, Infrastructure as Code standards, deployment SLAs, and quality requirements.
• Partner with Sales, Field Engineering, Support, and Product leadership on regional adoption, retention, and expansion.
• Build customer and partner enablement, certification, self-service tooling, and documentation programs.
• Act as executive technical sponsor for strategic accounts and translate customer evidence into roadmap and platform investment recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years leading a customer-facing technical organization, including 2+ years managing managers or team leads.
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, platforms, SRE, or solutions engineering.
• Experience scaling post-sales or field technical functions through significant growth in revenue, customers, or geography.
• Technical depth in Kubernetes, Helm, containers, networking, storage, cloud-managed services, and Linux/Unix.
• Production Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably with Terraform, plus experience across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises deployments.
• Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility for access without authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining U.S. export authorization.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes Operators and CRDs design experience.
• Enablement, certification, or partner-delivery program experience.
• Regulated, sovereign, or air-gapped deployment experience.
• GPU infrastructure, distributed training, and MLOps platform operations experience.
• Experience with developer-tools, infrastructure, SaaS, web services, or distributed systems companies.
