What you will do

• Develop residential mortgage business through internal and external referral sources.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, clients, and referral partners.
• Evaluate credit potential and analyze customers’ financial information to recommend suitable mortgage products.
• Advise customers on loan options, financial products, and completion of mortgage applications.
• Coordinate information required for underwriting and provide customer service from approval through closing.
• Maintain current knowledge of lending policies, regulations, pricing, and mortgage products while identifying cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably with a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Registration and additional qualifications are required under the SAFE Act and Truth in Lending Act.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and PC and internet skills.

Nice to have

• Existing mortgage pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
