Media Associate - Mandarin Speaking (Chinese Media)

What you will do

• Build relationships with Chinese journalists, media organisations, influencers, creators and relevant communities.
• Identify compelling stories and position hirify.global events, speakers, partners, investors and startups within Chinese media.
• Coordinate media opportunities, event attendance, interviews, speaking invitations and moderated stage content.
• Manage Chinese-language content across WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Weibo, Douyin, Bilibili and other relevant channels.
• Develop and execute coverage planning strategies with leading media outlets before events.
• Use AI and data tools to improve efficiency while maintaining accurate records in Salesforce.

Requirements

• Native Mandarin speaker with fluent, confident communication in Mandarin and English.
• Strong understanding of the Chinese media landscape and Chinese technology and business ecosystems.
• Experience in media, journalism, PR or marketing.
• Familiarity with Chinese social media platforms and the ability to create Chinese-language posts, short-form video concepts, social campaigns and editorial content.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, strategic thinking and news judgement skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, manage targets and maintain attention to detail.
