Senior Software Engineer (DevSecOps)

Location: UK wide — London, Salford, Cardiff, Newcastle or Glasgow; hybrid with one day per week in the office

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per year, plus £5,441 London weighting for the London office.

What you will do

• Operate and evolve security posture and vulnerability-management platforms, including configuration, access, integrations, data quality, risk policies and reporting.
• Own vulnerability-management workflows from prioritisation and assignment through risk treatment, resolution and reporting.
• Design, build and operate secure integrations and automation connecting security findings with technical and organisational context.
• Monitor platform health, investigate data and integration issues, and coordinate with suppliers on product support and changes.
• Work with engineering teams and technical leaders to improve risk ownership, prioritisation and remediation outcomes.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted capabilities for security analysis, remediation support and operational workflows.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience operating and improving vulnerability-management, application-security or security platforms.
• Strong understanding of the vulnerability-management lifecycle, including prioritisation, ownership, risk treatment, resolution and reporting.
• Strong software engineering experience building and operating production services, integrations or automation using a modern programming language.
• Experience designing secure cloud integrations and data flows using APIs, Infrastructure as Code, webhooks or event-driven patterns.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, least-privilege design, secrets management, failure handling and operational monitoring.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and availability for weekly office attendance are required.

• Experience in DevSecOps, application security, security engineering or platform engineering.
• Experience building shared technical capabilities for multiple engineering teams.
• Experience integrating security, engineering or operational data from multiple systems.
• Experience applying automation, data or AI to engineering, security or operational workflows.
